Why we are eco-friendly

Our software encourages the use of electronic communication, limiting the need for printed material thus allowing our customers to reduce the amount of waste generated and to achieve their own environmental targets.

By working online, our customers don’t have to be tied to the office, yet can still work together in teams on organising events. This helps businesses to allow home working by employees, making life easier for them and reducing 'event miles' created by physical travel.

Our data centre is one of the most eco-friendly facilities in the UK. Built in 2008, it takes advantage of the latest cooling and power management technology to minimise the total power consumed, while the power itself is supplied by a nearby power station run on eco-friendly recycled bio-mass fuel.

Our Suppliers

The company chooses suppliers who reflect our environmental beliefs and, on our behalf, use carbon offsetting and environmentally friendly energy. We are committed to using suppliers who can provide us with environmentally beneficial products and services.

Efficient Use of Resources

plusforevents.com aims to use resources efficiently and responsibly. For materials we consume, we source them from local companies as far as possible, lowering the miles the products have to travel and to support the local business community.

Monitoring the Environmental Effects of our Business

At plusforevents.com, we aim to source locally if possible, recycle paper, cardboard, plastic and cans where we can and continually monitor to see if we can do it better.

In essence, we endeavour to:

• Use like-minded suppliers where possible.
• Monitor our suppliers for environmental friendliness.
• Monitor our own use of resources and recycle waste.
• Exceed current legislation if appropriate and possible.
• The policy is reviewed every six months to ensure that we continue to be environmentally friendly.
